Cast Aluminium Vase, Italy, 1980s

Throughout the 1970s and 80s, cast aluminium became a material in its own right in Italian object design, valued for producing clean geometric forms with a raw metallic finish.

Polished cast aluminium, rounded rectangular section, asymmetric slightly curved opening at the top. Smooth surface on the lower body, more matte and textured inside the neck.

Designer and manufacturer unconfirmed.

Very good structural condition. The surface shows scratches and light wear marks visible in the photos, consistent with the piece’s age no dents or deformation.

Dimensions: 36 cm high, 16.5 cm wide, 8.5 cm deep.

Best alone on a console or desk, in a pared-back interior.
