3 Arm Metal Ribbon Candlestick

A three-arm candleholder by an unknown Polish artist, likely from the 1960s70s. Three curving ribbon-like arms sit on a flat rectangular base, each finishing in a petal-shaped holder with a pointed candle spike. The entire surface is worked with dense hammered cross-hatch and herringbone texturing, giving the blackened metal an almost textile quality. Steel shows through in parts where the surface has worn, adding to its lived-in character.
Great silhouette, intensely detailed up close. A strong example of Polish artisan metalwork from the period.
In good vintage condition consistent with age.
