Produced by Rudolf Zibell in Eskilstuna, Sweden during the 1920s or 1930s, this pair of hammered copper wall candleholders demonstrates the quiet craftsmanship of early twentieth-century metalwork. Each oval backplate is worked by hand, creating a finely textured surface that catches light differently across the relief.Years of oxidation have transformed the copper into a rich near-black patina, allowing the hammered pattern to emerge subtly rather than immediately. Mounted individually or together, they introduce both light and material to the wall.Includes maker’s mark.
