Pair of Italian Cast Aluminum Vases 1980s

In the early 1980s, several Italian workshops explored new sculptural forms in cast aluminum, favoring fluid lines closer to sculpture than to utilitarian objects. This pair is fully in line with this formal research.

Made of cast aluminum, they feature precise molding followed by hand polishing, resulting in a smooth, continuous surface. Their open, almost architectural silhouette perfectly illustrates the experimental aesthetic of the decade. No designer or manufacturer is identified, as is common for these pieces produced in small workshops.

The set is in very good condition, with a subtle patina from the original polishing. Each vase measures approximately 36 cm in height, 26 cm in width, and 6 cm in depth.

Sculptural pieces, they work equally well alone or in pairs, on a console or a sideboard, to bring a graphic presence to a contemporary interior.
