W Chairs by Pentti Hakala

Pentti Hakalas W-chair for Korhonen, designed in 1985, is a striking example of postmodern Finnish design, combining sculptural form with practical function. Defined by its polished tubular steel frame, circular black seat, and dramatic curved beech backrest/arm, the chair balances lightness with graphic presence. The sweeping back element creates the chairs distinctive silhouette while adding warmth and contrast to the industrial frame. It would make an incredible desk chair.
