Alpina White Honed 1 1/4×6 Marble Mosaics 12×12

Alpina White marble mosaic in a 1 1/4 by 6 bar, honed and mounted on a 12×12 sheet from the Sivec range. Pieces are recorded as uniform, so the white stays even across an order, and a sheet covers exactly a square foot.

Uniform by nature

Some marbles vary a great deal and some hardly at all. Sivec sits at the consistent end, which is why the record shows pieces looking alike rather than differing. That makes it useful where a large area needs to read as one surface. The bar proportion gives a linear rhythm without the strong direction of a full subway. Honed, 3/8 inch, with a 1/2×12 pencil liner available. White marble mosaics that stay this consistent are the exception rather than the rule, which is worth knowing if a previous stone floor arrived patchier than expected.

Residential and commercial interior walls and floors, shower walls and floors, backsplash, residential light floors and bath floors and walls are all listed, with living room, kitchen and bathroom recorded. It is not frost resistant, so interior work only. Ten boxes cover 60 square feet, and a sample can be ordered. Seven sheets to a box also keeps the arithmetic clean, since a box and a square foot line up exactly.

Care

Seal after installation, then every one to two years. Marble etches where acid lands, so vinegar and citrus are out and a pH neutral stone cleaner is the routine choice.
